started making music in the late seventies, from 1980 on in numerous bands. solo-releases on cassettes from 1986, on cd/vinyl as elfish echo from 1994. collaborations with stefan zöllner (fatagaga), harald "sack" ziegler, mr. problemist, takayuki yoshiyama and the drum music orchestra, geof carter (zengomi), christopher dell, lostheim among others.

in the 90s elfish echo stood for rhythm-based electronic music, sequenced with hard- and software. releases on german labels source-records and km20 were experimental but accessible and increasingly influenced by drum'n'bass.

in recent years: shift towards freeform/improvised sonic explorations of (mainly) analogue synthesizers. last release 2006 on drittland records. future plans include more live and studio collaborations and more acoustic instruments/drumming.
